So much happened today on the Island. I hope I don't leave anything out. First, I gotta say, I know why the Captain was given her title. She is one productive lady when she wants to be and ran a tight ship all around the Island today. The neighbor next door, Chica's mama, called her the Energizer bunny today. I don't see a tail, but she wore me out.
We got up early (I would expect to as early as we went to bed last night) and went on a beautiful tour. The air was crisp, but the sun was out and it was beautiful will all the trees full of flowers and little baby leaves. Little yellow flowers were all a bloom too. Captain then left for a "two hour" tour via foot like she does most Saturdays. Once she got back and cleaned herself up a bit, she took me in the ferry. It was great!
We went on a walk in the park and she let me explore all over the beach. I inspected lots of green bubbly and weedy stuff stuck to the rocks. I even found something interesting under the sand and dug and dug for it while the Captain just laughed at me.

After our time at the beach, Captain drove the ferry to the nursery and got lots of little green plants, pots, and bags of dirt. I had no idea you could get bags of dirt--I could have a lot of fun digging with those bags. When we got home she scurried around while I enjoyed the sun under the tree and put all the little plants into the pots.
She even fed the plants. I tasted the plant with the little flowers, but Captain didn't like that one bit.
She said that the plants were not for eating yet (except the ones she made for the kitchen) and even then, none for me.
Once the plants were all done, Captain cleaned up her hands by scrubbing the car. She washed it multiple times, dried it, and put this pink stuff on it that smelled like berries. She even vacuumed it out and cleaned the seats. She was bopping around singing to me while I enjoyed the sun so I didn't mind that we were out there for hours and hours. Just as I was getting hot, she turned her energy to me and suddenly I was cooled with the hose and covered in bubbles. I must admit it felt great so I was a good boy and didn't bicker with the Captain. She soon attacked me and the car with towels (different ones of course) making me all fluffy and the car very very shiny. I could see my beautiful clean fur in the side of the car even.Luckily, Captain finally settled down so we could enjoy dinner. Hers smelled much better than mine and had little white round bits in the noodles that I think she could have snatched out of the ocean. Mine on the other hand, had tiny little moving things in it with four legs. I am glad Captain saw them and got me a new bowl. They were gross and did not go well with my meat dish.
She finally let me rest after dinner when her friend came and took her to get ice cream. I would have loved to ride in the ferry too, but was glad to lay on my bed and get some rest. One of us needed to and it wasn't going to be Captain. Once she got home, I was still tired and couldn't even lift my head to get it on my big bone. I got close, but just couldn't get there. I'll save it for tomorrow.
