Day 120

Captain's batteries certainly did not run out over night. We slept in and woke up just an hour later than usual, but it was blissful for both of us. After a nice tour, Captain started cleaning all my beds and gave me a pedicure before scrubbing the floors. She gave herself a pedicure too, but she doesn't get to eat peanut butter during hers like I do. Maybe next time I'll paint her paws for her while she eats.

Two men came and were looking at the walls outside the house with the Captain and talking about words like leak and soundness which I didn't understand. Captain came in and said she didn't understand half of it either which made me chuckle. I didn't like her being with them and barked a lot while she was outside. After a tour and a chat with my Papa she was out the door in her Wicked shirt. She was gone a long time, but when she came back she was showered (I am amazed at how she does that, but she sure saves on the Island water bill) and had lots of bags of goodies. Captain said she ran her race right on the pace she should have and actually realized it was her best pace at that 5 mile distance by over 3 minutes. I was proud of Captain and gave her a nose for a job well done.

Soon, the house started to smell really good and I sat and watched this cheesy goodness in the oven, Captain called it green chili enchiladas. Those enchiladas made the house smell great and I was excited to get a little cheese in my dinner too, and some tortillas that Captain got a little too dark--she always does that, but I am happy to help.

After dinner, I was tired and ready for bed and I think Captain was too, but instead of going to bed we cuddled and both had dessert while waiting on our friend Kathey to come back to town. Captain is picking her up and her flight is late. I think she'll get home just as my Papa is getting to work. Good thing I get to stay home and rest.
