I love Christmas, I wish everyday were Christmas. Finally, I got to open my presents with my Papa on the box thing and the Captain. I swore they just kept pulling stuff out of that box and it was great. My squacky Henrietta, Earl, a new black thing that is hard to chew and bounces all over, a little blue ball with ears, lots of bags for the Captain's experiments (not really a gift for me in my opinion), and this wonderful big bone filled with tasty meat stuff in the middle. I spread them all out on the carpet and went from toy to toy while the Captain worked on the box all day. I stopped to play in the park with Mia but was eager to get home to my toys which the Captain had tossed all in one big pile on my bed. I realized that something was missing though and ran upstairs to the door I knew there were presents behind. The Captain laughed and followed me. This time she, finally, opened the door and let me have two more presents--a new tennis ball with a nice big knot thing tied to it that is all red and green and my favorite toy besides my bone and another bone! When I leave it somewhere, I quickly remember and race around the house to find it and carry it with me. I love toys and bones, love them, love them, love them. Instead of my usual nap I laid on my bed and tried to get the meaty stuff out of my bone for hours. Captain had to put me in my metal house area and leave for a while just so I could get some rest.
Oh yeah, Captain and Papa opened gifts too. Papa liked his presents, especially the coffee, and the Captain was thrilled with movies and paw coverings that Papa said would make her go fast. My Captain sure likes to run fast around the Island, even when it is really cold outside like today.
