Day 7

We awoke to sounds of wind and rain once again driving against the house. 3 out of these 7 days have been cold wet ones, what type of Island is this? Captain seems to have gotten the drift of the Island as she pulled on tall rubber paw protectors, note please that she had none for me, and a slicker thing not even bothering with that nice umbrella I hid under last time--clearly we were facing the storm head and paw first. Oddly, the Island was still covered with small piles of the white stuff which now felt very different under my paws and I climbed atop each pile I could without driving the Captain too crazy.

I do believe the Captain is performing experiments on the Island. Even in the driving rain she follows me with bags on her front paws and collects my droppings. It seems she needs these droppings for something, so I tried to help by leaving her more and more. Hmmm, I do not understand, but she did not thank me as I expected. She did make up for this by wiping me with a large towel, it felt sooo good, I rolled around on my back and let out grumbles of pleasure while she rubbed my soaking head and belly.

I enjoyed playing in the rain when the ferry drivers came for me today. The Captain returned later than usual and only took me on a short tour before going to some place where she always comes home smelling and wet. While she was gone, I found a book that was filled with gummy goodness, apparently called a sticker book, and played with it turning the pages with my teeth and really getting into the story. The Captain returned and was stern. She said I ate some poor Island child's Christmas present. I hope she doesn't give him one of mine.
